Budapest, Hungary is a beautiful city that is perfect for weddings and engagement sessions for international couples. The city is rich in history and culture, and it offers a range of stunning locations that are perfect for capturing the love and intimacy of a newly engaged couple. As a wedding photographer based in Budapest, I was thrilled when Jennifer and Erno contacted me from London, UK to have their engagement session photographed.
Jennifer and Erno’s love story was unique. Jenni is from Asia and Erno is from Hungary, they met in London where they currently reside. They contacted me through Instagram, and I was delighted to have the opportunity to plan this engagement session from start. The day before the session, we rented an Airbnb with a view of the Chain Bridge and the old city, and we spent the evening getting to know each other over a glass of red wine. The apartment was close to the main locations we wanted to photograph. It’s always important to be close to places where a photo session will take place while traveling creates lots of unwanted stress.
On the day of the session, we woke up at 3 am to prepare for the shoot. Jennifer had a hair and makeup appointment with Liv Redeg, who is a talented makeup artist based in Budapest. Liv did an amazing job, and Jennifer was thrilled with the result. We started the session at the historic theater, which was a perfect backdrop for capturing elegant and luxurious pictures. After the theater, we explored the old town, taking pictures in different locations on our way. Later we stopped at a cozy coffee shop and spent some time enjoying a fresh expresso.
