One of the most rewarding aspects of being a wedding photographer is having the opportunity to witness and document different cultures and traditions. That’s why I was thrilled when Jennifer and Erno asked me to photograph their multicultural wedding in Hungary.
Jennifer is Asian and Erno is Hungarian, and they wanted to celebrate their love with their friends and family from all around the world. They chose Budapest as their destination, which is one of my favorite cities in Europe. Budapest has so much history, charm and beauty that it makes for a perfect backdrop for any wedding.
We started with a pre-wedding portrait session few weeks before the wedding at the Fisherman’s Bastion, an iconic landmark that offers stunning views of the city. The early morning light was soft and flattering, and we had fun exploring the different angles and perspectives. Jennifer looked gorgeous in her white dress, while Erno looked handsome in his suit.
After the portrait session, we headed to Apatsagi Viator Etterem es Borgar, a beautiful restaurant and winery near Budapest. This was where the ceremony and reception took place. The venue had a rustic and cozy vibe, with wooden beams, stone walls and vineyards surrounding it.
The ceremony was a mix of Asian and Hungarian traditions, with colorful decorations, music and rituals. Jennifer and Erno exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones, who cheered them on with joy. It was a touching moment that I was honored to capture.
The reception was full of fun and laughter, thanks to the amazing DJ Solymi and wedding MC Csizmadia Peter who kept the party going all night long. The guests enjoyed delicious food, wine and cake, as well as games and speeches. One of the highlights of the wedding day was when Erno surprised Jennifer with an old-fashioned Cadillac that he had rented for their transportation. They looked like movie stars as they drove away from the venue.
I had a wonderful time photographing Jennifer and Erno’s wedding. They are such a sweet and lovely couple who made me feel welcome and appreciated. I’m so happy for them and I wish them all the best in their future together.
